When I went on my mission in 1960, the Church allowed the members to select the program for sacrament meeting.  Pete Hackworth, editor of the Caldwell News Tribune, was my uncle.  Ossian and Don Packer were fellow worker at the Packer Dairy and sons of the owner.  M’Jean South was a first cousin.  William Lewis was a stake president and friend of the family.  Vernon Clark was my step-father’s first cousin.  Shirlene was my sister.  Robert Foster was my seminary teacher.  The closing prayer was by my former bishop and friend, Robert (Bob) Smith.  It was a long program, but I enjoyed it a lot.  I still like the idea of missionary farewells.
