Nancy Cyrene Kerr Hammond Compiled from information received from Annie Kerr August 1972.
Nancy Cyrene Kerr Hammond was the seventh child born to Marion Joseph and Ella Rebecca Merrill. She was born April 29, 1893 in Richmond, Utah.
When she was a small child her parents moved to the family farm in Ora, Idaho. She was educated in schools there, and attended Ricks Academy in Rexburg, Idaho. Her Aunt, Bertha Kerr Skeen, remembers having her there as a student when she taught in Rexburg. and enjoyed her association with her.
She married Robert Leroy Hammond on June 8, 1912. They are the parents of two sons, Lowell and Dee. Rena now lives alone in Fruitland, Idaho in a very comfortable all electric home among many kind friends and neighbors. Her health is not good. Her two sons, Lowell and Dee, have important positions in industry, steel, and road construction.
Lowell and his wife, Ruth Liljenquist, were recently transferred to Canada from Ohio. They have a son, Bruce, in Califomia.
Dee and his wife, Wanda Browning, live in Boise, Idaho. Two of their children, Kent and Carol, are married. There have two grandchildren. Dee's work involves a good deal of traveling so he sees his mother nearly every week. |
