Generations at a Glance
The Tidwell family line descends from Absalom Tidwell, born March 8, 1792 in Tennessee (some records also suggest Kentucky). His son Peter Tidwell carried the line forward, followed by Royal Tidwell and later Evaleo Brighton, connecting the Tidwell and Brighton families.
The Telford line intersects through Jane Telford (born 1795 in Ireland) and John Telford (born 1802 in Ireland), who are Evaleo Brighton's great-grandparents on the maternal side. The Nelson family also enters the lineage through Robert Nelson, born 1818 in Ireland.
